Dr. Dieter Ose war zuletzt Leitender Wissenschaftlicher Direktor als auch Leiter des Bereichs Grundlagen und Entwicklung an der Akademie der Bundeswehr für Information und Kommunikation in Strausberg. Die Publikation "Entscheidung im Westen 1944" verfasste Ose als Dissertation und gilt bis heute als Standardwerk. Zuletzt erschienen 1985.
